- Heat oil in a pan. Add jeera and wait till it turns light brown. Then add green chilli, garlic paste, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Add 3 glasses water right away. Add salt and dhaniya jeera powder. Wait till the water boils. Add Dal, cover and cook on low heat.
