  2. Get 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  3. Prepare 1 tsp Castor Oil

  5. Prepare 15 Shallots roughly chopped
  6. Provide 1 Small Tomato roughly chopped
  7. You need 1/4 cup Grated Coconut
  8. Use 3 tsp coriander seeds
  9. Take 2 Cloves
  10. Provide 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
  11. Get 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
  12. Use 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  13. Prepare 5 Pepper corns
  14. Provide 5 Dry Red Chillies
  15. Provide 1 tsp Curry leaves
  16. Get 1 Green Chilli
  17. You need 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  18. Use 2 tsp Coriander leaves

Steps to make Mutton Kuzhambu Mutton Curry:
  1. Clean and wash the mutton pieces.
  2. Place a pressure cooker in the stove. Switch on the flame. Add the mutton pieces, 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder, castor oil, ginger garlic paste and some water. Mix well. Leave for 1 whistle in high flame and keep in medium low flame. Let it cook for 20 minutes.
  3. Once the pressure goes off, open the cooker lid.
  4. Place a sautepan in the stove. Switch on the flame. Keep in medium flame.
  5. Add 1 tsp Sesame Oil, coriander seeds, cloves, cinnamon, fennel seeds,curry leaves few, red chillies, cumin seeds and peppercorns. Roast till it turns light brown colour. Transfer to a bowl.
  6. Then in the same pan, add another 2 tsp Sesame Oil and shallots. Keep in medium flame and saute till it becomes translucent. Add tomato and saute for 5 mins. Atlast add grated coconut and saute well for a minute. Transfer to a bowl.
  7. Cool all the fried items completely. In a mixie, add the first items which we have roasted. Grind to a fine powder.
  8. Along with that powder, add the onions and coconut in the mixie. And add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and green chilli. Grind to smooth paste by adding water gradually.
  9. In a currypan, add the masala paste, cooked mutton along with that water and salt. Again add required water for it to cook. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 mins.
  10. In tadka pan add the ingredients given for tempering. Fry till shallots becomes translucent.
  11. Then add it to the mutton curry. Mix well and transfer to a bowl. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  12. Now it's ready to serve with hot rice, idli and dosa.
