  1. Get For Idli–
  2. Use 1 cup coarse Rava/suji
  3. You need 1 cup curd/yoghurt
  4. Prepare 1/2 tsp salt
  5. Prepare 1/4 tsp Eno fruit salt
  6. Provide as required Water
  7. Get For Idli Kebabs–
  8. Provide 6-8 medium-sized idlis
  9. Take 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  10. Prepare 1/4 cup grated carrots
  11. Take 1/4 cup green peas
  12. Get 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  13. You need 1/4 tsp garam masala
  14. Provide 1/4 tsp Chat Masala
  15. Provide 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  16. Get as required Chopped Coriander
  17. Provide to taste Salt
  18. Use 1 tbsp oil + oil for roasting the patties
  19. Prepare For Red Coconut Chutney–
  20. Provide 10-12 Kashmiri Lal Mirch
  21. Use 5-6 cloves garlic
  22. Provide 1 -inch piece of ginger
  23. Prepare 1 cup Fresh Coconut (Thinly Sliced)
  24. Take 3 tbsp Roasted Chana Dal
  25. Take 2 tbsp Tamarind Pulp
  26. Get to taste Salt
  27. Prepare as required Water
  28. Use For Green Coconut Chutney–
  29. You need 1/2 cup Green Coriander
  30. Use 1/4 cup Mint Leaves
  31. Get 4-5 green chilies
  32. Prepare 5-6 cloves garlic
  33. Prepare 1 -inch piece of ginger
  34. You need 1/2 cup Fresh Coconut (Thinly Sliced)
  35. Get 10-12 Curry Leaves
  36. Take 2 tbsp roasted chanadal
  37. Prepare 3 tbsp Tamarind Pulp
  38. Use to taste Salt
  39. Provide As required Water
  40. Provide For tempering the chutney–
  41. Get 2 tbsp oil
  42. Take 1/4 tsp Jeera /cumin seeds
  43. Get 1 tsp mustard seeds
  44. Take 1 tsp Chana Dal
  45. Provide 1 tsp urad dal
  46. Provide 10-12 Curry Leaves
Steps to make Idli Kebab | Easy Party Snacks:
  1. In a large pan roast suji for 5 minutes or till it turns aromatic. Allow it to cool completely, and transfer roasted rava to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add yoghurt, salt and combine well without forming any lumps. Allow to rest for 20 minutes or till rava absorbs water.
  3. Again add water as required to prepare idli batter consistency.
  4. Just before steaming the idlis, add in eno fruit salt and give a gentle mix.
  5. Pour the batter immediately onto a greased idli plate.
  6. Steam them on a medium flame for 15 minutes or till the idli is cooked completely.
  7. For the red and green chutney, blend all ingredients for the chutney in a blender using water as required. Set aside.
  8. For the chutney tempering, heat oil in a small pan. Add Jeera, mustard seeds. When they begin to crackle, add chana dal and urad dal and roast till they turn golden. Finally, add curry leaves and mix well. Turn the heat off and pour over both chutneys.
  9. Mash the idlis and set aside.
  10. To make the kebabs, heat oil in a pan. Add onion and saute for few minutes.
  11. Add the frozen green peas and grated carrots. Mix well.
  12. Add turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, chat masala, and salt into it. Add little water and Roast for about a minute by covering with a lid.
  13. Add the mashed idlis, chopped cilantro, and mix well. Let it cool.
  14. Make kebab like patties with the mashed idli.
  15. Roast the kebabs on a pan/griddle using oil.
  16. Transfer small amounts of chutney into shot gasses. Drizzle the tempering over the chutney.
  17. Poke a toothpick/skewer into the kebabs and let the idlis rest across the shot glasses.
